We Care

Here at UMC of the Palm Beaches we strive to provide care
that supports all areas of life.

Most weddings that are conducted at the United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches are officiated by the Pastors on staff. All pastors on staff will require the couple to participate in a pre-marital workshop with the pastor. The workshop can be between three and six sessions. We do allow weddings to be conducted by outside pastors. For further information, please complete the online request form.

People of all ages can be baptized at UMC of the Palm Beaches. Non-members are encouraged to seek membership as soon as possible after being baptized. We baptize by immersion and or the sprinkling Holy Water. Immersion baptisms are by request. The United Methodist Church recognizes baptisms from other faiths and churches and therefore does not re-baptize people, but we do encourage people to attend a special baptism worship service to remember their baptisms. Baptisms are scheduled between the pastor and the person requesting to be baptized. You can schedule a baptism by requesting additional information through the link below.

While we all realize that death is imminent, we also know that the process of grieving that loss is different for everyone. The Pastors at UMCPB will be honored to be present with you and your family as you prepare for the funeral. Below is a document that may serve as a guide for you and your family as you make these preparations.

Spiritual Direction is a form of pastoral counseling that involves deep listening for the Holy Spirit. The goal of spiritual direction is to guide you to have a deeper relationship with God by learning how to recognize God in everyday experiences. The process involves you telling stories, someone listening to the stories, then together listening for prompts from the Holy Spirit that invite questions, silence, searching scripture, and prayer.
